Full Job Description
The AWS Cloud Security Architect will play an integral role with the execution of a key Federal customer of UltraViolet Cyber. The Cloud Architect will lead the analysis of enterprise and AWS cloud architecture to identify security gaps and recommend improvements aligned with DoD and industry standards. We are assembling a mission focused team to deliver AWS Cloud Assessment services.
What You'll Do:
• Assess security architecture across enterprise systems and AWS cloud environments
• Evaluate how AWS environments are governed, provisioned, operated, and consumed
• Analyze architecture within AWS IL4 (or similar regulated environments)
• Identify security gaps across:
o System design
o Cloud configurations
o Policy enforcement
o Operational processes
• Evaluate alignment with:
o AWS Well-Architected Framework
o DoD and federal security guidance
o Zero Trust and defense-in-depth principles
• Provide target-state architecture recommendations
• Support identification of policy, operational, and technical deficiencies
What You've Done:
• 10+ years in cybersecurity architecture (cloud + enterprise)
• Strong experience with AWS environments and DoD security requirements
Core Certifications:
• CISSP (foundational requirement for most architect roles)
• CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) - critical for AWS/cloud environments
Cloud / AWS:
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
• AWS Certified Security - Specialty
Architecture / Advanced (Preferred):
• SABSA (Security Architecture)
• TOGAF (Enterprise Architecture)
DoD / Federal:
• CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner)
Clearance Requirement:
• Active TS/SCI with SCI Polygraph (or eligible)

$170,000 - $200,000 a year
UltraViolet Cyber maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect our company's differing products, services, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors.
