The Decision Advantage Business Area at Leidos has an opening for an experienced AWSCertified Cloud Practitioner to work in our Orlando, FL office. Department of the Air Force (DAF) Battle Network and supporting infrastructure. In this mission we support the Department of the Air Force (DAF) to field and operate the customer's Digital Infrastructure. The Certified Cloud Practitioner will be involved in day-to-day activities and strategic long-term maturation of complex systems. Details are as follows:
Primary Responsibilities
020The DINM Team is responsible for maintaining the DI-N and DI-NIL architecture and services. There are levels of support needed throughout which will include operations in the cloud. Overall management of cloud systems and monitoring of the environment will be required including system deployments, networking, VPC creation and management, security group maintenance, volume creation and maintenance, and backup and recovery actions needed.
020The support effort will also include working with customers to ensure the needed environment is configured properly and access has been configured to allow a least privilege concept during stakeholder activities within the environment.
020Full documentation of builds and configurations utilized within the environment are mandatory as well as process flow documentation to ensure all required tasks are documented and repeatable.
020Additional duties will include backing up other personnel in support of the DI-NIL effort which is focused on Verification and Validation for the Digital Infrastructure Network.
020Cost Management & Optimization: Analyzing AWS systems and services and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
020Security & Governance: Understanding the shared responsibility model, managing Identity and Access Management (IAM) at a high level, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
020Support & Deployment Support: Assisting with technical, project-based work, managing support tickets, and ensuring cloud environments are secure and available.
020Cloud Operations: Monitoring system performance, forecasting, and assisting with cloud migration strategies.
Basic Qualifications
020Bachelors degree and 8-15 years of prior relevant experience or masters degree with 6-13 years of prior relevant experience or demonstratable experience as a Subject Matter Expert. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
020Must be AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CAP) Certified
020Must possess a minimum of a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
020Demonstrable knowledge of AWS Cloud concepts and applying these concepts to Department of Defense programs
020Demonstrable experience in design review participation and providing customer centric input
020Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, and other systems engineers in the development of complex DoD systems.
020Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities.
020Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
020Mid-level network understanding
020Mid-level understanding of government systems security testing (ACAS/Nessus) and remediation ability to discuss security issues and concerns
020Demonstrated ability to brief technical and non-technical customers
020Ability to achieve a high degree of customer satisfaction and maintain Leidos positive brand recognition.
020Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve technical issues
Preferred Qualifications.
020Demonstrated experience with Agile program execution and using agile tools (e.g. Jira and Confluence).
0204 years of DoD-based system security testing (ACAS/Nessus) and remediation with the ability to discuss security issues and concerns.
020Prior experience designing and deploying networks.
020Prior experience with SAFe Agile implementation.
020Prior experience support Department of the Air Force programs.
020Previous experience working on complex multi-domain systems.
020Prior experience with managing operating systems (Windows or Linux).
020Experience with the development, maintenance, and validation of Infrastructure As Code (IaC/Terraform).
020Experience with design and validation of Cloud and Edge Computing and Network.
020Demonstrable knowledge of test automation and test result analysis.
020Demonstrable experience in network topologies to validate functionality, performance, stability and scalability of features and products..
020Proven expertise in creating test methodologies and writing test specifications.
020Experience in Integration, test, verification, and validation.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
