Title:

AWP Database Coordinator

KBR is looking for an AWP Database Coordinator to support a major LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) project. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, administering, and supporting the project's Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) databases and digital execution systems. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of Engineering Work Packages (EWPs), Procurement Work Packages (PWPs), Construction Work Packages (CWPs), Installation Work Packages (IWPs), turnover data, and construction readiness information.

The AWP Database Coordinator will work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, project controls, and technical services teams to ensure project data is properly structured, maintained, and reported to support efficient project execution.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Administer and maintain all AWP-related databases and project execution systems.

  • Support the development, tracking, and reporting of:

    • Engineering Work Packages (EWPs)

    • Procurement Work Packages (PWPs)

    • Construction Work Packages (CWPs)

    • Installation Work Packages (IWPs)

    • Turnover and commissioning packages

  • Maintain data integrity across project systems and ensure accurate package status reporting.

  • Manage the setup and maintenance of:

    • Construction Work Areas (CWAs)

    • Path of Construction (POC)

    • Systems and subsystem boundaries

    • Tag and asset databases

    • Package hierarchies and coding structures

  • Coordinate data integration between engineering, procurement, project controls, construction, quality, and commissioning systems.

  • Validate and troubleshoot package data, schedule interfaces, and reporting outputs.

  • Generate and maintain AWP dashboards, readiness reports, KPI reports, and package status metrics.

  • Support development and maintenance of Power BI reports and data visualization tools.

  • Monitor package progress, constraints, material readiness, and turnover status using project databases.

  • Assist in identifying data discrepancies and work with stakeholders to resolve issues.

  • Ensure document and data consistency between AWP platforms, scheduling tools, turnover databases, and document management systems.

  • Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and implementation of new project software tools.

  • Provide training and user support for project personnel utilizing AWP systems and databases.

  • Maintain database security, access controls, and user permissions in accordance with project requirements.

  • Support project closeout activities, data archiving, and final turnover reporting.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline OR equivalent construction experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting industrial construction projects through database administration, project controls, AWP, construction technology, or data management roles.

  • Experience supporting LNG, petrochemical, refinery, power generation, mining, or major industrial capital projects.

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Advanced Work Packaging (AWP)

    • WorkFace Planning (WFP)

    • Construction Work Packages (CWPs)

    • Installation Work Packages (IWPs)

    • Construction readiness processes

    • Mechanical completion and turnover workflows

    • Project controls and scheduling interfaces

  • Advanced proficiency with database management and reporting tools.

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data analysis tools.

  • Ability to manage large volumes of project data while maintaining high levels of accuracy.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct LNG project experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience with:

    • Procore

    • Power BI

  • Experience supporting Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) programs on large EPC, EPCM, or owner-led projects.

  • AWP Certification Institute (AWPCI) training or certification preferred.

  • Familiarity with commissioning, startup, and systems completion databases.

  • Experience supporting projects exceeding $500 million in total installed cost.

  • Knowledge of data integration and reporting processes across multiple project systems.
