Full Job Description
The thought leadership function at Kaufman Hall develops content on a wide range of healthcare topics of interest to our clients. These topics include but are not limited to technology and AI-enabled solutions, strategic planning, financial planning, treasury and capital management, mergers and acquisitions, performance improvement, clinical documentation improvement, healthcare real estate, physician strategies, health plan trends, industry disruption, and data and analytics.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Planning and developing a content calendar (for articles/presentations/podcasts/etc) in concert with Business Unit leaders, the firm's thought leadership sponsor and enterprise wide Thought Leadership and Marketing teams
  • Leading a team of writers/podcast editors and other content developers to ensure the development of high-quality content reflecting the firm's expertise
  • Editing and writing articles/reports/podcasts/presentations, using the appropriate structure, voice, and level of detail for the chosen topic and format
  • As needed, coordinating with outside publications (for example, trade magazine editors)
  • Working with Thought Leadership and Marketing teams on any repurposing of the content-for example, for webinars or presentations
  • Managing content review and revision
  • Identifying and securing talent in concert with Business Unit leads
  • Working with talent agencies and Business Unit leads to secure speakers
  • Managing the development of keynote and panel content
  • Collaborating with Marketing colleagues on the promotion and planning of the conference
  • Providing overarching content development, collateral review and messaging support for BU president in concert with Communications colleagues
  • Developing up to four blogs a year reflecting the BU president's POV on key issues of interest to clients
  • Providing content support for speaking engagements in concert with Executive & Strategic Communications team


Requirements:
  • At least 10-15 years of experience in progressively ascending leadership roles in healthcare publishing, including journalism, thought leadership for consultancies/other businesses, and research entities
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, or communications is preferred
  • Master's Degree is preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Strong interviewing and research synthesis capabilities.
  • Experience collaborating with communications/PR teams.
  • Experience working with business/organizational leadership to develop content strategies and deliverables.
  • Ability to translate complex topics into accessible narratives.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.


Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $156,500.00 to $290,100.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
