We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our dynamic IT Global Services Team at Everest, located at their US headquarters in Warren, New Jersey, USA.

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Technical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for interpreting data, analyzing results, and providing actionable insights to drive informed decision-making across Everest. You will work closely with IT & business stakeholders to understand their data needs, review existing data assets, and present findings in a clear and concise manner. You will also be a strong collaborator who thrives at the intersection of business/data and technical delivery

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review & document current data assets across source systems
  • Document the current process and limitations of the current process
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies
  • Generate the artifacts to showcase mapping and global transformation rules that needs to be applied to the data
  • Work closely with data architects and business analysts to understand the global data reporting requirements and standards
  • Validate data accuracy, completeness and integrity of the data in the source systems
  • Identify and document data quality issues and discrepancies
  • Provide decision-support through ad-hoc analysis, data profiling etc.
  • Provide product ownership and technical support to developers
  • Support multiple project(s) from a SDLC perspective


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field
  • 10-15 years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role in the P&C insurance industry
  • Solid knowledge of the P&C insurance domain particularly policy & claims management systems
  • Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, etc.).
  • Experience working in Cloud native technologies
  • Strong experience in Data Modeling, Data Governance & MDM
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills to present insights to senior stakeholders
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to build alignment across teams
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).


Nice to Have:
  • Exposure to modern data platforms and cloud-based analytics environments
  • Experience supporting data governance initiatives
  • Experience managing and working closely with development team(s)
  • Experience performing Product owner roles is a plus


The base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $210,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
