Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the State Filings team, coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders to oversee the filing, documentation, tracking, research, and archiving of all forms.
- Develop and maintain a centralized historical database of state regulatory requirements and prior responses to objections, enabling consistency and efficiency in filings.
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on processes related to the implementation and operationalization of forms.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and ongoing maintenance of all product logs, form libraries, and supporting documentation.
- Direct and support research efforts to ensure internal forms comply with applicable state regulatory requirements.
- Manage and analyze competitor filings and regulatory positioning to inform strategy.
- Serve as a liaison across Compliance, Operations, Product Development, and Actuarial to ensure the seamless execution of processes on behalf of the Product Development function.
- Identify, assess, and resolve compliance issues related to state regulatory requirements and the organization’s implementation of forms and rules.
- Partner with Compliance to evaluate and manage the operational impact of regulatory bulletins and circulars on day-to-day business activities.
- Support the State Filings team in responding to regulatory objections by conducting research on competitor filings and prior submissions, maintaining effective relationships with regulators, and developing well-supported, compliant responses to state feedback.
Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge of ISO and Commercial Lines Property & Casualty coverage, Professional Lines coverage, forms, rates, and rules
- Expertise in state filings, including the rates, rules, forms, and answering objections
- Experience in targeted competitor searches and analysis
- Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and energetic style are essential
- Proactive thinker and performer, with the ability to work independently
- Desire to learn and gain exposure to new areas
- Minimum 10 years of State Filings/Product Governance experience. Underwriting, Compliance or IT experience desirable
- Management/Leadership experience
- BA/BS required
Salary range specific to for this role: $182,000-$225,000 + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, and qualifications. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
