Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of experienced Financial Product Line Support Services staff with direct oversight of the day- to-day activities.
  • Partner with and support the Financial Lines business unit(s) and support areas to ensure that products, systems, processes, and procedures are in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including participating in compliance audits reviews and market conduct exams.
  • Support Financial Lines business unit(s) by ensuring approved form/rate filings and other initiatives are implemented.
  • Lead the product development and ongoing support for Financial Lines with a focus on speed to market, key deliverables and new product launches. Ensure project timelines are met or exceeded.
  • Provide clear, concise communications with Regulatory Affairs, Compliance Assurance, Business Units, State Regulators, and all other internal Chubb areas.
  • Report to leadership on compliance efforts and the resolution of compliance issues.
  • Work with Regulatory Affairs and Compliance, lead the resolution of all regulatory issues arising out of state examinations, investigations, inquiries, and audits for Financial Lines. Ensure remediation and appropriate preventive action in response to violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
  • Partner with Compliance to develop, communicate, implement, and maintain policies, standards, procedures, training, monitoring and controls within the business unit.
  • Work with Product Line Services Support team to ensure all product handoff dates are identified and met.
  • Work with Product Line Support Services Support team to develop thorough, concise product requirements in accordance with IT handoff dates.
  • Advise on the approach to new/revised products in respect to alternative solutions, adoption of existing products, rating, and pricing options, and filing strategies.
  • Provide expertise and input in the creation of training materials and programs.
  • Improve quality of Financial Lines product filings submitted resulting in less objections and reducing the need to refile.
  • Work with AI Team to improve processes and reduce manual work.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the insurance industry. Financial Lines products, underwriting, operations, product management or regulatory compliance is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience in product management and regulatory issues.


Major Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Requirements:
  • Good working knowledge of the property and casualty insurance industry, including the product development process, regulatory procedures and interactions, and the state approval processes.
  • Knowledge of industry associations (for example, ISO, AAIS), roles, and operations; demonstrated effective personal working relationships.
  • Experience working in a product, rate filing, and approval environment with explicit leadership/facilitation/coordination responsibilities and knowledge of the relationship to Underwriting, Actuarial, General Counsel, IT, and Claims is a plus.
  • Excellent communications skills; capable of interacting effectively with Senior leadership, and internal/external business partners.
  • Strong organizational and effective project management skills, managing shifting priorities, and coordinating efforts across organizational lines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong people management skills and experience with demonstrated achievements in the areas of results, staff development, diversity, and retention.
  • Good negotiation skills with the ability to influence, adaptability, and flexibility to adjust and lead team through changing business priorities.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and commitment to project ownership, accuracy, and completion on a timely basis.
