The Pay Scale is $199,804,80 to $287,539,20

Position Summary
Provides leadership for advancing, developing, refining, and innovating nursing clinical delivery operations throughout the Ambulatory/Medical Group care settings in accordance with nursing policies and procedures. Collaborates with operational and medical staff leaders in ambulatory patient care, ensuring alignment of goals and outcome measures with the network and system. Brings the acute and ambulatory care settings together to create seamless care pathways for patients; contributes to the development and implementation of the organization's plan for providing nursing and other non-provider clinical care to patients for all ambulatory or clinic-based programs.

Provides strategic leadership across a large, multi-site ambulatory and medical group platform, ensuring consistent clinical practice standards, operational excellence, and coordinated patient care delivery across diverse care settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership for ambulatory nursing strategy, including clinical quality outcomes, workforce planning, and care delivery model design
  • Serves as a key member of the leadership team providing strategic direction on patient care and nursing related issues. Leads effectively as a team member in a dynamic executive environment in a matrix organization and promotes teamwork within and across the organization by maintaining positive relationships and utilizing effective problem-solving skills. Collaborates with the system chief nurse executive, presidents and executive teams in ambulatory and clinic structure networks and other key stakeholders to lead and support population health efforts.
  • Fosters a culture of provider, employee, patient and family engagement.
  • Leads and strengthens cross-functional collaboration across Ambulatory/Medical Group providers, clinical leaders, academic partners, and hospital operations to advance integrated, patient-centered care delivery.
  • Builds and sustains high-performing, engaged teams by fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across ambulatory nursing and clinical operations.
  • Develops and empowers leaders and staff to achieve strategic, operational, and professional goals, including supporting growth, recognizing performance, and advancing succession planning.
  • Drives a culture of engagement and inclusion by creating structured opportunities for staff input, feedback, and shared decision-making to inform practice improvements and operational enhancements.
  • Promotes a supportive and healing environment for patients and staff through intentional team development, strong professional relationships, and alignment of organizational values with daily practice.
  • Responsible and accountable for establishing and maintaining clinical quality excellence in nursing practice, as well as effectiveness and efficiency of nursing operations within defined areas of responsibility; enhances value in all clinical services by increasing quality, constructing cost effective care delivery models and improve operational efficiencies
  • Responsible for outpatient nursing practice and education assuring safe, reliable, and efficient care delivery that is based on evidenced based practice.
  • Regularly displays and encourages ethical behavior in the areas of business ethics, legal compliance, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, vendor relationships and the reporting of questionable activities. Serves as a role model and mentor to nursing leaders.
  • Maintains knowledge and achieves compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, licensure, accreditation requirements, record procedures and internal controls. Regularly informs and updates staff on organizational and industry issues.
  • Works to continuously improve patient services while enhancing service to patients and optimizing relationships with business partners.


Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • Active RN license
  • 10 years progressive nursing experience
  • 5 years experience in leadership, preferably in the ambulatory setting
