Hours Per Week: 35 (Full-Time)

About the Role

We are looking for an AVP to serve as an integral member of NFP's Management, Cyber & Professional Liability (MCPL) team. With this role, you will open the door to an exciting career path opportunity with NFP. You will be a valued member in the Management, Cyber & Professional Liability team and their respective clients.

What You'll Do

  • You will manage a growing portfolio of Small-Medium Enterprise (SME) financial lines clients
  • Work with key leaders internal and external to deliver excellent results for complex accounts
  • Produce client materials for new business proposals and renewals
  • Educate clients on current financial lines market conditions
  • Liaise and coordinate with producers, client advocates and broking teams to deliver subject matter expertise and risk-transfer solutions to clients
  • Meet and build relationships with key financial lines markets/insurers
  • Assist with client follow-ups and back-up of account management as required
  • Actively participate in training initiatives


What You Bring

  • Valid Alberta General 2 or ability to obtain required licensing within 90 days.
  • BA or BCOMM (or equivalent) required
  • Existing Canadian insurance underwriting market relationships an asset
  • Excellent understanding of financial statements and financial markets
  • Highly organized with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player, adaptable to a changing environment
  • Ability to perform well in a busy operation with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Sharp attention to detail with excellent decision-making & prioritization skills
  • Bilingualism an asset (French).
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, deadlines, and technology
