This leadership role drives Allied World's Fidelity & Crime insurance product line. The candidate will underwrite complex risks, expand our market footprint, collaborate with the underwriting team, and develop innovative solutions to grow a profitable, market-leading portfolio.Core Responsibilities:- Product Leadership: Drive the strategic vision, underwriting guidelines, and profit objectives for the Crime and Fidelity insurance product line.
- Cross Sell: The candidate will also need to collaborate with the Public, pHd (Private Healthcare and Not-for-profit division), and Financial Institution underwriting teams. We expect the cross sale to work to boost overall production within the professional lines division (not just Crime and Fidelity).
- Underwriting & Risk Analysis: Evaluate complex commercial and financial institution crime exposures. Structure manuscript endorsements and negotiate terms within delegated authority.
- Broker & Client Relations: Leverage and expand your broker network to originate new business and maximize client retention.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor profitability, loss trends, and exposure management to ensure appropriate rate adequacy.
Qualifications & Requirements:- Experience: Up to 10+ years of technical underwriting experience specializing in Fidelity/Crime insurance. Substantial experience with Financial Institutions (FI) and Commercial Crime is highly preferred.
- Entrepreneurship: History of entrepreneurial insurance work is necessary, with track record of form development and filing and operational problem solving. Goal is to get to $15M book of business in five years.
- Skills: Excellent negotiation, quantitative, and analytical skills. Deep understanding of policy/endorsement wordings and manuscript policies.
- Education: Bachelor's degree. Professional designations such as CPCU or ARM are strongly desired.
The salary range for this role is between:
160,000 - 205,000
The above annualized base pay range is a broad range based on analysis of similar positions in the market. The actual base pay for the position may be above or below the listed range and determined by a number of considerations, including but not limited to complexity, location, and scope of the role, along with experience, skills, education, training, and other conditions of employment. Base salary represents one component of Allied World's comprehensive total reward package, which may also include annual incentive compensation rewards.
