Full Job Description
This role provides strategic, operational, and top-level executive leadership for a single facility campus. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, financial stewardship, quality outcomes, patient experience, physician relationships, workforce engagement, and regulatory compliance. The AVP partners closely with the region's Chief Executive Officer, Chief Nursing Officer, Medical Staff leadership, and operational leaders to execute organizational priorities and ensure exceptional care delivery across the facility. The AVP serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and provides oversight for designated hospital departments and support services. Demonstrated experience leading operational improvement initiatives and managing complex healthcare operations Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) 3 Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare operations, hospital administration, and healthcare delivery systems, including inpatient, outpatient, emergency, ancillary, and support service operations, with the ability to align operational performance with organizational objectives. 3 Thorough understanding of regulatory, accreditation, and compliance requirements, including Joint Commission standards, CMS Conditions of Participation, patient safety requirements, infection prevention practices, and state and federal healthcare regulations. 3 Exceptional leadership and team development skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop leaders while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 3 Advanced strategic planning and execution skills to translate organizational priorities into measurable operational plans and successfully lead complex initiatives across multiple departments and stakeholders. 3 Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership, physicians, board members, team members, and community stakeholders while influencing decision-making and fostering alignment. 3 Demonstrated project management and change leadership skills, including the ability to lead operational initiatives, drive adoption of new processes, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
