Full Job Description
Get to Know the Opportunity You will assist in the origination, implementation, and monitoring of investment opportunities for client portfolios at Voya Investment Management (IM) consisting of selected debt investments, primarily in the renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure sectors. *While the New York City/Tri-State area is preferred, qualified candidates from other geographic locations within the U.S. will be considered The Contributions You Will Make Asset Origination • Analyze credit/investment characteristics of borrowing entities. • Assist in structuring and evaluating suitable terms and conditions, including covenants, working with senior team members. • Assist in preparation and presentation of written analysis to relevant credit committee. • Perform further due diligence with company management, outside consultants, and on-site visits of company’s facilities prior to close of transaction. • Assist in sourcing investment opportunities. Documents and Closing • Assist senior team members and counsel in finalizing credit agreement. • Assist in closing transactions, including funds flow, final documentation, due diligence, etc. Portfolio Monitoring • Organize and maintain files of Fund investments. • Monitor credit quality of Fund investments, and compliance with loan covenants. • Maintain communication with borrowers, counsel, and consultants. • Review and resolve amendment and waiver requests in collaboration with senior team members and counsel. General Responsibilities • Follow Voya IM and Departmental policies. • Assist in the preparation of investor materials supporting fundraising. Minimum Knowledge and Experience • Bachelor's Degree is required. • Minimum of 5 years’ industry experience with 2-5 years structured credit experience in renewable energy, sustainable infra, and/or project finance • Excellent credit analysis skills • Strong computer and relevant modeling skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Strong business orientation • Excellent customer orientation • Planning and organizing skills. • Strong team skills Preferred Knowledge and Experience • MBA, CFA designation and/or equivalent, a plus #LI-BMS Compensation Pay Disclosure: Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities. The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
