Job Description Summary
Role Summary Position has significant impact upon enterprise growth and profitability. With the CEO, key role in capitalizing on market dynamics and opportunities. Works closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Investment Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Planning and Strategy Officer and field and marketing leadership in implementing mergers and acquisitions programs, strategic alliances, enhanced fee income and other business opportunities.
Job Description
Reports to: VP, Mergers and Acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for identifying and evaluating opportunities to increase growth and profitability through mergers and acquisitions, business diversification opportunities and strategic alliances.
2. Identify/search for appropriate mergers and acquisitions possibilities working with investment bankers and industry contacts.
3. Assess each possibility against established criteria.
4. Lead the due diligence team. Ensure an acquisition integration plan.
5. Lead expansion into new businesses through identifying, evaluating, planning and implementation, working with appropriate functional area(s) of company.
6. Identify, evaluate, and coordinate initiatives to increase growth and profitability.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Nationwide pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement within the actual starting salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. If a Sales job, Sales Incentives, based on performance goals are possible in addition to this range. Note on Compensation for Part-Time Roles: Please be aware that the salary ranges listed below reflect full-time compensation. Actual compensation may be prorated based on the number of hours worked relative to a full-time schedule.
The national salary range for AVP, Corporate Development : $175,000.00-$326,000.00
The expected starting salary range for AVP, Corporate Development : $175,000.00 - $291,000.00
