Role Summary/Purpose:The AVP, Authentication - Wallets is a multifunctional role with several key responsibilities. The primary responsibility is to perform ongoing monitoring performance, tools and strategies of authentication program for Synchrony's wallet programs. The role will work closely is the broader Authentication, Fraud Strategy and Emerging Payments teams.
Essential Responsibilities:- Monitor authentication performance and its impact on wallet performance
- Develop tactical and strategic actions plans to address for wallets/tokenization fraud risk
- Partner with Emerging Payments team on tokenization and digital wallets programs
- Partner with acquisitions and account management fraud policy teams on early days since provisioning authorization rules
- Build and manage dashboards, leverage digital analytics tools to analyze user behavior, understand journey friction points, and drive improvement opportunities
- Preform deep dive analysis of authentication leakage
- Research and respond to complaints regarding the wallets program
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of within Credit, Marketing, Risk or Collections in Financial services, or in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 10+ years of experience in Marketing, Risk or Collections in Financial services.
- Experience analyzing large data sets to derive strategies, segmentations, actionable fraud insights including SAS, SQL, R or Python Programming Skills or other related analytic tools
- Advanced proficiency with Excel
- Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required
Desired Characteristics:- Cross-functional experience with a track record of leading in a matrix environment and influencing key decision makers
- Experience with authentication process
- Understanding of acquisition and transactional fraud strategies
- Knowledge of Fiserv
- Good communication & presentation skills and the ability to effectively provide insights, solicit feedback and problem solve with peers
Grade/Level: 11The salary range for this position is
90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
