Salary range: An annual salary range of $115,000 - $120,000 is what we expect to pay for this position, based on overall skills and experience.

What You'll Do:

The AVP, ABL Operations Lead, Portfolio Management will play a key role in developing and supporting the Bank's Asset-Based Lending platform. This position will serve as the operational lead for the ABL business and will be responsible for collateral administration, borrowing base management, portfolio monitoring, operational controls, underwriting support, and platform development initiatives. As a senior member of the team, this individual will assist in establishing and enforcing procedures, controls, workflows, and best practices as the ABL platform continues to grow. This role provides senior-level review and oversight of the responsibilities below, with the ABL Analyst providing supporting analysis and documentation.

ABL Operations Leadership
  • Lead day-to-day administration of borrowing base facilities and collateral monitoring processes.
  • Review and validate borrowing base certificates, availability calculations, and supporting collateral reporting.
  • Oversee advance requests, repayments, cash dominion activity, and reporting compliance.
  • Maintain ABL systems, operational controls, procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and enhance operational workflows and best practices for the growing ABL platform.


Portfolio Management
  • Monitor borrower performance, collateral trends, covenant compliance, and overall credit quality.
  • Lead preparation and approve annual reviews, renewals, amendments, and portfolio assessments.
  • Review field examinations, appraisals, collateral audits, and other third-party reporting.
  • Identify and escalate emerging credit risks and portfolio concerns.


Underwriting Support
  • Assist in underwriting new ABL transactions and credit requests.
  • Analyze financial statements, collateral performance, industry dynamics, and borrower operating trends.
  • Assist in structuring credit facilities, advance rates, reserves, and monitoring requirements.
  • Support due diligence, closing, and onboarding activities.


Platform Development
  • Assist in the development of ABL policies, procedures, training materials, and technology implementation initiatives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for collateral administration and operational controls.
  • Assist with mentoring and training team members as the platform expands.


What Do You Need?
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in asset-based lending, collateral administration, portfolio management, underwriting, or related commercial lending disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of borrowing base lending structures, collateral analysis, and portfolio monitoring.
  • Experience with ABL technology platforms and reporting systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.


Technology Skills:
  • Ability to work with the Microsoft Suite and learn/work with other Customers Bank's applications.
  • Familiarity with AI and automation tools that support productivity, workflow efficiency, and client engagement.
