Step into a role where your expertise will leave a lasting mark on Canadian aviation. As an Intermediate Aviation Planner, you'll contribute to transformative projects ranging from new heliport and airport developments to runway rehabilitations, terminal expansions, and long-term strategic planning initiatives.
You'll play a key role in delivering innovative airside and landside solutions for public, private, and First Nation clients-helping to build safe, efficient, and future-ready aviation infrastructure.
Your Impact- Lead aviation planning studies to support airport capacity, demand forecasting, and operational improvements
- Develop airport master plans, land use strategies, and terminal/airside layouts that support sustainable growth
- Design and produce technical drawings using tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, CAST, and AviPlan
- Conduct aeronautical impact assessments, meteorological studies, and construction operation planning
- Prepare compelling proposals, technical reports, and visual materials to communicate complex findings clearly
- Engage stakeholders through presentations, consultations, and collaborative planning processes
- Build strong relationships with clients, regulatory authorities, and project teams while supporting project delivery
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation across aviation planning projects
The Skills That Set You Apart- 7-10 years of hands-on experience in aviation planning within airport or heliport environments
- University degree or diploma in planning, transportation engineering, aviation management, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of airport airside, landside, and terminal operations
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities effectively
- Deep understanding of aviation regulations and standards, including CARs, Transport Canada TP312 (4th & 5th Editions), TP1247, and ICAO guidance
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in aviation planning tools considered an asset
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated experience preparing reports, proposals, and presentations
- Willingness and ability to travel for short-term assignments and site visits
CompensationAB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $104,100 - $138,000
MB & ON: $95,000 - $130,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $94,100 - $124,900
