Position Overview Join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of engineering in the Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Heavy Equipment and Marine industries. We are seeking an exceptional Auto and Heavy Equipment Industry Strategist to drive the strategic positioning and messaging for our Siemens Xcelerator solutions within the broader Siemens Xcelerator platform. This is a unique opportunity to evolve an established role, becoming a recognized thought leader who translates complex technical capabilities into compelling, value-driven narratives that resonate across internal teams and our customers.
Responsibilities As the Auto & Heavy Equipment Industry Strategist, you will be the voice and strategist for our Siemens Xcelerator solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
Strategic Messaging & Positioning
- Lead the development of compelling, high-level messaging that clearly articulates the value proposition of Siemens Xcelerator solutions within the Digital Thread context.
- Translate complex technical features into business benefits, creating narratives that highlight the strategic importance of integration.
- Lead collateral development that supports our go-to-market strategies.
Thought Leadership & External Engagement - Act as a Siemens ambassador, actively engaging in a full spectrum of external activities. This includes presenting at industry conferences, authoring white papers and blogs, and collaborating with sales teams on account strategy.
- Build and maintain a strong personal brand as a subject matter expert in digital transformation for Automotive and Heavy Equipment industries.
Internal Influence & Coordination - Influence and collaborate extensively with a wide array of internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Product Development, Pre-Sales, and Technical Account Managers.
- Synthesize diverse inputs from customers and the sales organization to refine messaging and identify new market opportunities.
- Drive alignment across teams to ensure a consistent and powerful message is delivered to the market.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience - BS/BA (or relevant Technical Degree) in related engineering, manufacturing, or computer science related discipline.
- Industry Knowledge: 10+ Years' experience within the Automotive industry
- Digital Transformation Knowledge: 5+ Years' experience driving digital transformation strategy and implementation (including but not limited to roadmap definition, internal leadership buy-in, development, implementation and adoption).
- Exceptional Communicator: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences (technical, business, executive).
- Influencer & Collaborator: Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority, fostering collaboration and driving consensus across various internal organizations (Marketing, Product Development, Sales, Pre-Sales).
- Customer-Centric Mindset: A passion for understanding customer challenges and translating them into solution-oriented messaging.
- Resilience & Problem-Solver: Ability to navigate and coordinate numerous diverse teams, turning this complexity into an opportunity for unified impact.
- Strategic Thinker & Storyteller: Ability to elevate technical details into strategic narratives, articulating the "why" and demonstrating business value within a broader portfolio context (e.g., Siemens Xcelerator, Digital Thread).
- Self-starter: motivated and able to work with a minimum of direct supervision, able to self-learn.
- Must be able to work remote (virtual office).
- Must be open to an average of 30% - 40% travel, mostly domestic.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience - External Presence: Experience in public speaking, presenting at industry events, writing thought leadership content, and engaging with industry analysts.

Our Benefits & RewardsThe total cash compensation range for this position is $167,200 - $334,400 with 10% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training. The pay range for this position is $167,200 - $334,400 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
