Role SummaryWe are seeking an
Automation Test Lead to support the delivery of high-quality digital experiences across our retirement and wealth management platforms. This role is highly hands-on, focused on building and executing automated test solutions, improving test coverage, and partnering with engineering teams to ensure reliable, scalable releases.
Key ResponsibilitiesTest Automation & Execution- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and (where applicable) mobile applications.
- Execute automated and manual tests across digital platforms including client portals, advisor tools, and transaction systems.
- Contribute to and enhance existing test automation frameworks.
- Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution.
Quality Engineering Practices- Support shift-left testing by engaging early in requirements and design discussions.
- Validate functionality, integration, and data accuracy across systems.
- Assist in building test data strategies and supporting test environments.
CI/CD & Tools- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Leverage tools such as:
- Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright (UI)
- Postman or RestAssured (API)
- Contribute to improving test reporting and dashboards.
Domain Support- Test workflows supporting:
- Retirement account servicing and transactions
- Wealth and financial planning tools
- Digital onboarding and account management
- Ensure adherence to data privacy and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration- Work closely with developers, product owners, and QA team members to clarify requirements and ensure quality outcomes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
QualificationsRequired- 6+ years of experience in software testing, with hands-on automation experience.
- Strong experience with test automation tools and scripting (Java, JavaScript, or similar).
- Experience testing web applications and APIs.
- Familiarity with Agile development environments.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD processes.
Preferred- Experience in financial services, retirement, or wealth platforms.
- Exposure to cloud-based applications and microservices architectures.
- Familiarity with data validation, SQL and AI.

Compensation Pay Disclosure: Voya is committed to pay that's fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
$117,880 - $147,350 USD
