Position Overview: As our Automation Project Manager, you will support BWXT Canada's Operational Excellence organization by leading automation and digital transformation initiatives that improve operational performance, standardization, and efficiency. You will manage automation projects from definition through execution, ensuring alignment to scope, schedule, and quality expectations while driving disciplined planning, cross-functional coordination, and clear communication across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and external vendors.

Your Day to Day as our Automation Project Manager: - Lead and coordinate automation projects across Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and deliverables to ensure execution against scope, timeline, and quality expectations.
- Facilitate collection and translation of business and operational requirements into structured project and solution definitions.
- Support development of business cases, including scope definition, benefits, scheduling, and cost inputs.
- Coordinate capital authorization (ACE) documentation and ensure readiness for approval.
- Manage project tracking, reporting, and communication to ensure transparency of progress, risks, and issues.
- Support vendor engagement including coordination, information gathering, and alignment with Supply Chain processes.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support testing, validation, and readiness activities including UAT and operational cutover preparation.
- Lead or support on-site execution activities including go-live and hypercare support.
- Drive continuous improvement of project execution processes, tools, and standards.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in project management, automation projects, or manufacturing/engineering environments.
- Strong understanding of project management fundamentals including scheduling, budgeting, and change management.
- Experience delivering automation, manufacturing systems, or operational improvement projects.
- Strong capability in requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience analyzing and presenting data using Excel and Power BI (or equivalent tools).
- Strong communication skills with ability to influence and coordinate across technical and operational teams.
- Experience with vendor management and external stakeholder coordination.
- Exposure to MES, ERP, or digital manufacturing systems considered an asset.
- PMP certification or working toward certification is an asset.
- Nuclear industry experience is an asset.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario (CA-ON) at the start of employment is expected to be between $76,000 and $118,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
