Job Summary
The Automation Engineer will support the Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) by developing software applications, automation solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities that improve the speed, efficiency, and effectiveness of security operations. This role will focus on automating processes, reducing operational noise, and building capabilities that enable technical teams to focus on higher-level security activities. The position requires hands-on experience with Python, SQL, GitHub, REST APIs, and the AWS ecosystem, with AWS Bedrock and Security Operations Center (SOC) experience as preferred areas.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop software applications and automation solutions to support CSOC operations and security processes.
• Automate manual and repetitive security processes to improve operational efficiency and response capabilities.
• Build capabilities that help make security operations faster, smarter, and less noisy.
• Develop and integrate AI-enabled tools to support security operations and incident response.
• Design and implement end-to-end automation solutions across security operations workflows.
• Develop solutions using Python and integrate REST APIs and AWS services.
• Work with SQL to support data processing, analysis, and automation requirements.
• Utilize the GitHub environment and ecosystem for software development and collaboration.
• Support capabilities related to security incidents, threat intelligence, forensics, and other CSOC functions.
• Collaborate with technical and security teams to identify automation opportunities and deliver scalable solutions.
• Support the implementation and integration of AI tools within the CSOC environment.
Required Qualifications
• Experience developing software applications and automation solutions.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Understanding of SQL.
• Experience working within the GitHub environment and ecosystem.
• Experience working with REST APIs.
• Experience with the AWS ecosystem.
• Ability to develop end-to-end automation solutions.
• Strong understanding of process automation and application development.
• Ability to work EST hours.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with AWS Bedrock.
• Experience supporting Security Operations Center (SOC) environments.
• Experience with cybersecurity operations, security incidents, threat intelligence, or forensics.
• Experience developing AI-enabled tools and automation capabilities.
• Experience working with large-scale security operations and machine-speed response capabilities.
