Position Description:

Accelerate infrastructure delivery through automation by designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency, enhance service quality, and reduce manual effort. Partner with engineering, operations, and client teams to build scalable, secure, and reliable automation capabilities that enable faster service delivery, continuous improvement, and exceptional client outcomes.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
• Act as the Infrastructure Subject Matter Expert (SME) and technical lead for enterprise infrastructure services delivered within a Managed Services model.
• Design, implement, and support highly available, resilient, and secure infrastructure solutions.
• Define infrastructure standards, best practices, operational procedures, and governance processes.
• Lead infrastructure transformation, technology refresh, migration, upgrade, and modernization initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership during incident, problem, change, and project activities.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders, security teams, and application teams to support business and compliance requirements.
• Administer and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) environments, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades, lifecycle management, performance tuning, capacity planning, and root cause analysis.
• Manage Linux security baselines and compliance controls, and develop, implement, and maintain operating system hardening standards using CIS Benchmarks and CIS CAT.
• Administer and maintain Red Hat Satellite infrastructure and manage Linux patch management processes across large-scale enterprise environments.
• Plan and execute operating system upgrades and lifecycle management activities using Red Hat Satellite, including content views, lifecycle environments, activation keys, repositories, and patch deployment workflows.
• Support infrastructure compliance with vulnerability management, security patching, and audit requirements, and automate patching and remediation activities using Satellite and Ansible.
• Build, configure, and support server infrastructure across VMware environments, Microsoft Azure Stack Hub, and bare metal deployments.
• Develop standardized server deployment and provisioning methodologies and support platform capacity management, availability, resiliency, and disaster recovery requirements.
• Design, implement, and administer enterprise NetApp storage solutions, including NFS, CIFS/SMB, and Fibre Channel (FC).
• Perform storage provisioning, optimization, replication, capacity planning, and performance management, and support business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives.
• Design and implement infrastructure automation solutions using Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), Terraform, Terraform Enterprise, GitHub, and GitHub Enterprise.
• Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules and automation frameworks, integrate infrastructure automation into operational and deployment workflows, and support continuous improvement through automation and self-service capabilities.
• Administer and support Microsoft Azure Stack Hub infrastructure, provision and manage infrastructure resources using IaC methodologies, and develop automated deployment and operational processes.
• Support hybrid cloud solutions and integration with enterprise platforms.
• Administer Docker container platforms and environments, support containerized infrastructure deployments and operational activities, and implement container lifecycle, monitoring, and security best practices.
• Participate in incident, problem, change, and release management processes and provide technical leadership for severity incidents and major problem investigations.
• Develop operational documentation, runbooks, standards, and knowledge articles.
• Support compliance with client SLAs, security standards, regulatory requirements, audit activities, risk remediation initiatives, and security compliance programs.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Core Technical Qualifications
• Strong experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL), including troubleshooting, performance tuning, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite administration, including enterprise Linux patching, lifecycle management, content management, and repository management.
• Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), Terraform, and Terraform Enterprise.
• Experience deploying and administering infrastructure across Microsoft Azure Stack Hub, VMware, and bare metal environments.
• Experience with NetApp storage administration and technologies including NFS, CIFS/SMB, and Fibre Channel (FC).

Additional Qualifications
• Experience with enterprise infrastructure administration, engineering, architecture, and design.
• Experience providing technical leadership within complex enterprise environments.
• Experience with operating system hardening, vulnerability management, and security compliance, including CIS Benchmarks and CIS CAT.
• Demonstrated experience delivering infrastructure automation and modernization initiatives.
• Experience supporting mission-critical environments within Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Capital Markets, or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience operating within Managed Services and ITIL-based environments with SLA and compliance requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting, incident management, documentation, communication, and client-facing consulting skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Docker container management.
• Experience with GitHub and GitHub Enterprise.
• Experience with VMware vSphere administration, upgrades, and migration projects.
• Experience with Cisco UCS/Intersight, Microsoft Windows Server, Oracle Exadata, Dell, Hitachi, or Cisco server infrastructure.
• Relevant certifications such as RHCE, RHCA, Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat Ansible Automation, HashiCorp Terraform Associate, NCDA, VCP, Microsoft Azure/Azure Stack Hub, ITIL, or Cisco UCS/Intersight certifications.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $75,000-$125,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
