Would you like to be responsible for the installation and oversight of an automated intra-logistical warehouse system for the new LEGO manufacturing site?

The Automation Engineer - Intra-logistical will be responsible for managing the automated equipment in the Materials Warehouse area. This will include conveyors, elevators, shuttle cars, robots, palletizers, lidders, and supporting equipment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the LEGO Production team meets the reliability requirements of the company and product quality through maintaining the automation of the equipment (preventative, predictive, corrective maintenance).
  • Establish detail maintenance work instructions, user documentations, and trouble-shooting experience.
  • Conduct analysis and investigations on equipment failures that significantly affect product quality, equipment uptime and packing capacity.
  • Superuser for platforms like PLC programming, HMI, COMBI 2.0 ERP, SAP and WMS.
  • Develop a standardized approach for robots, programming standards, safety protocols, operator interface, following standard and global implementations.
  • Root Cause Analysis of errors to propose and implement corrective/preventive actions in the different Automated Warehouse operations.
  • Lead the engineering and technical initiatives to solve the opportunities in safety, quality, delivery, cost areas.
  • Generate Power BI reports aligned with capacity of the equipment.
  • Perform and drive Risk and opportunity assessment of equipment.
  • Be responsible for equipment life cycle.
  • Mapping and standardization of the critical parameters of equipment.
  • Continuous improvement of machinery and processes.
  • Electronically standardize and update of software of machinery to align with supplier and operation needs.

The Warehouse department is responsible for receiving, storing, and delivering to production all productive material needed in the site to fulfill customer orders as planned. The Automation Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the automated equipment in the Materials Warehouse area. Will be responsible for overseeing the programming of the equipment in the new manufacturing site.

Do you have what it takes?
  • Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficient work experience in PLC programming. Prefer experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens.
  • Working experience with intra-logistical systems, automatic retrieval systems, palletizers, rolling conveyors, lidders and/or palletizers.
  • Proven experience with WMS.


Additional
  • Global travel - This position will train at our site in Mexico for 2 weeks upon hire and then 2 weeks before the new manufacturing site starts production.
  • This position will work onsite 5 days a week.
  • Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.

Compensation
The salary for this position has a range of $84,674.00 - $127,010.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
