Full Job Description
Job Overview:

As an Automation Control Engineer II you will participate in the Hardware/Software Controls development utilized on packaging equipment, process equipment and high speed applications. You will be responsible for significant contributions to the installation and start-up of new equipment along with trouble shooting existing equipment. You must be self-driven, quick to learn and able to perform in a very dynamic work environment, balancing a wide variety of projects and work activities.

What you will do:
  • Install and troubleshoot control systems, servo drives, motors, HMIs and PLCs on high speed packaging lines, process equipment and Lab equipment
  • Develop, collaborate on and review wiring diagrams and logic for new equipment, field retrofits, and upgrades
  • Provide support for continuous improvement initiatives
  • Utilize excellent troubleshooting skills with a hands-on approach to identify root cause and define solution
  • Research and analyze data for specifications, feasibility studies, and productivity improvements

Total Rewards:
  • Salary Range: $70,500 - $105,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
  • Benefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree
  • 3 - 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Moderate experience in the engineering, design and development of manufacturing equipment for high volume, high speed, high precision assembly operation and complex industrial systems
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation products and National Instruments a plus
  • Programming knowledge of Rockwell Automation RSLogix5000 and FTView ME and SE a plus
  • Knowledge of VFD and Servo drives. (AB Powerflex and Kinetix a plus)
  • General knowledge of PID loops and process control concepts
  • General knowledge of motion control concepts and robotics
  • Experience in food or consumer goods packaging industries is a plus
  • SQL Server Database knowledge and Visual Basic Programming a plus
  • Experience with machine vision is a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
