Job Requirements The Automation Commissioning Engineer (ACE) maximizes customer satisfaction by performing commissioning and project execution activities, which support customer goals. The ACE will be responsible for all aspects of site commissioning, providing a high-quality on-site presence to assist in resolution of all mechanical and/or electrical issues, and support technical service trips as needed. In addition, the ACE will provide timely, high-quality service operations and maintain a professional image.

What You Will Do:- Present a professional image to customers and vendors.
- Support development of commissioning documentation based on installation and startup manuals, as new technologies are onboarded.
- Perform and lead system commissioning for conveyor and rack systems.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical layout and installation drawings and provide feedback with regards to proper installation.
- Provide mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of automated conveyor systems during installation and commissioning activities.
- Support mechanical installation of small, automated conveyor systems and re-work or re-engineering of existing systems.
- Support electrical installation, both high (480 volt) and low voltage, including the termination of wiring.
- Develop and support close out of commissioning punch list.
- Support customer training on equipment and various technologies
- Develop and supply weekly updates related to project specific tasks.
- Ensure operational excellence is achieved by executing all projects with quality and accuracy.
- Work with Project Management and System Engineers to understand As-Sold functionality of the system.
- Be a leader of and practice all rules regarding personal and job site safety.
What You Will Bring:- Associates and/or bachelor's degree or related experience in a related field
- 3-5+ years of mechanical and electrical experience with conveyor systems is preferred.
- Demonstrate a high degree of communication and organizational skills to include the ability to apply logic and constructive thinking to solve problems.
- Aptitude and ability to analyze and interpret all mechanical and electrical information in service manuals.
- Working knowledge of electrical power and control systems.
- Proficiency in software applications such as AutoCAD, Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Technical writing skills a plus.
- Ability to learn vendor software and attend vendor training.
Pay Range: $50/hour - $65/hour
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure.
Work Requirements: This position is classified as remote with up to 90% travel within the United States.
- You may be required to travel to and work from warehouses or manufacturing facilities located across the USA.
- You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
- Some weekend/night work required as needed.
- Working in office, warehouse, and manufacturing facilities.
- Working in a stationary position for an extended period.
- Moving or traversing for an extended period.
- Occasional ascending and descending scaffolding and/or mezzanines.
- Operating computers for an extended period.
- Possible exposure to noise levels exceeding recommended DBA levels.
- Occasional movement and positioning of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Travel Requirements: Due to the nature of the work, 90% of travel is required.
