About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Plaintiff-Side Personal Injury Associate to join a busy litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant experience handling plaintiff matters and will be comfortable managing a diverse docket that includes motor vehicle/automotive liability as well as premises liability (slip & fall), product liability, workplace injuries, and catastrophic or wrongful-death claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a civil personal injury caseload from intake through resolution, with a strong emphasis on plaintiff advocacy.
  • Conduct detailed case evaluations and develop strategic litigation plans tailored to each matter.
  • Investigate incidents, obtain and analyze evidence, and interview witnesses.
  • Prepare and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs in state and federal courts.
  • Take and defend depositions; prepare clients and witnesses for testimony.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurers and opposing counsel, seeking maximum recovery for clients.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations when necessary.
  • Work with medical experts, accident reconstruction specialists, and other consultants to build cases.
  • Maintain timely communication with clients, providing updates and counsel throughout the litigation process.
  • Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and paralegals as needed.
  • Participate in business development and community outreach efforts to grow the practice.

Practice Areas (Primary & Secondary)
  • Primary focus: Motor vehicle / automotive liability (auto collisions, truck accidents).
  • Additional plaintiff-side experience preferred: Premises liability (slip & fall, trip/fall), product liability, workplace injuries, dog bites, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death claims.

Qualifications

  • Proven skills in legal research, drafting persuasive motions and briefs, and motion practice.

  • Track record of effective settlement negotiation and client counseling.
  • Strong oral advocacy, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational abilities; capable of handling multiple files and deadlines.
  • High ethical standards, client-focused mindset, and a commitment to achieving client-centered results.
  • Familiarity with case management software and e-discovery tools is a plus.

Preferred
  • Experience with catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters.
  • History of securing favorable settlements and/or verdicts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently while collaborating with a team of litigators.
