Full Job Description
Position Summary:

Globus Medical is seeking an experienced International Senior Accountant to support the accounting and financial reporting activities of multiple international subsidiaries. This role will be responsible for key components of the monthly close process, payroll and lease accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory audit support, and other general accounting activities across our global operations. The International Senior Accountant will work closely with local finance teams, corporate accounting, payroll, tax, treasury, and other cross-functional partners. This position will also play an important role in the ongoing transition from Sage 500 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and in supporting the continued standardization and improvement of international accounting processes.

Essential Functions:
  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for assigned international entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and research and resolve reconciling items.
  • Review general ledger activity and investigate unusual transactions, variances, or inconsistencies.
  • Prepare and post payroll-related accounting entries and reconcile payroll accounts to supporting payroll reports and third-party documentation.
  • Prepare monthly lease accounting entries and related reconciliations in accordance with applicable accounting requirements.
  • Support intercompany accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, settlements, and investigation of intercompany differences.
  • Assist with foreign currency transactions, remeasurement, and other accounting matters associated with multinational operations.
  • Support statutory audits for international subsidiaries by preparing schedules, reconciliations, supporting documentation, and responses to auditor inquiries.
  • Coordinate with local finance teams and external accounting or audit providers to support statutory reporting and local compliance requirements.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests and maintain appropriate accounting documentation and support.
  • Ensure accounting transactions are recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and established internal controls.
  • Support the migration of accounting processes, balances, and reporting from Sage 500 to D365.
  • Maintain and update accounting procedures, month-end close documentation, reconciliations, and supporting workpapers.
  • Partner with corporate and international teams to improve and standardize accounting processes across global entities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and greater efficiency within the international accounting function.
  • Assist with additional accounting projects, entity integrations, system implementations, and other initiatives as needed.

  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Experience with payroll accounting, lease accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations preferred.
  • Experience supporting statutory or external audits is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with multiple legal entities or international subsidiaries is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems required; experience with Sage 500 and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance is highly preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to work with large data sets and detailed accounting schedules.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple entities, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams across multiple countries and time zones.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a collaborative international accounting team.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within a publicly traded or multinational company.
  • Experience with international accounting and multi-currency environments.
  • Experience supporting ERP conversions, implementations, or finance transformation projects.
  • Experience with Sage 500 and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Experience with statutory financial statements and international audit requirements.
