Responsibilities

Full Job Description
Hall & Evans, LLC, is looking for an experienced litigation attorney with medical malpractice experience to join our Las Vegas office. We offer a collegial business casual environment, opportunities to develop clients, and a chance to work with talented attorneys. Upon successful completion of training, this position may allow for a Hybrid Working Schedule, with three days spent in the office and two days working remotely from home.

Requirements

  • Currently licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada, required;
  • Medical Malpractice Litigation experience, preferred;
  • A strong work ethic and proven case management skills;
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills;
  • Exceptional research and writing skills;
  • Ability to travel;
  • Competent computer skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook;
  • Interviewing and meeting with client representatives;
  • Direct experience/interaction with insurance claims representatives, including reporting, case assessment, evaluation, and strategy;
  • Responsibility for handling own files/matters preferred;
  • Taking and defending fact and expert depositions;
  • Expert engagement and preparation, expert disclosures and reporting;
  • Experience with all facets of pre-trial discovery and preparation;
  • Experience with all facets of pre-trial motions;
  • Experience with large document production and database matters;
  • First chair mediation experience, preferred;
  • Management and delegation of work to paralegals;
  • First chair trial/arbitration experience, preferred;
  • Schedule and payment claim experience, preferred;
  • Marketing and business development interest, and;
  • Experience in drafting publications, articles, or legal presentations, preferred.
