Description

Under direction, to perform professional legal work in the function of child support services.
The Department of Child Support Services is recruiting for two (2) Attorney IV - Child Support Services positions. One successful candidate may be assigned Lead Attorney/Attorney of Record duties and shall receive a differential based on a rate which is approximately 10% above the salary range. Attorneys designated by the department to perform these duties shall receive this differential in accordance with the County of Santa Clara and Santa Clara County Government Attorneys Association Memorandum of Agreement.
Employment Standards

Membership in the California State Bar is required for all levels,

-AND-
Attorney I: No experience.
Attorney II: One year of experience as an Attorney I with Santa Clara County.
Attorney III: Two years of experience as an Attorney II with Santa Clara County.
Attorney IV: Two years of experience as an Attorney III with Santa Clara County.

* Experience as an attorney in a California Family Support Division or a Department of Child Support Services in another public agency may be considered equivalent for appointment or promotion in the County of Santa Clara

Attorney II: Two years of experience in the full time practice of law in a government agency or in private practice.

Attorney III: Four years of experience in the full time practice of law in a government agency or in private practice.

Attorney IV: Six years of experience in the full time practice of law in a government agency or in private practice.
