Position Overview

The Atlanta Market Lead is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving growth, profitability, and operational excellence. This position requires a business-builder mindset, with an emphasis on expanding sales channels, developing relationships with key stakeholders, originating new business, and cultivating opportunities with existing clients. A critical aspect of this role is the ability to oversee and deliver complex, large-scale developments and projects from inception to completion, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional results..

The Atlanta Market Lead is accountable for recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent to build a high-performing team. The role involves ensuring the timely, quality delivery of major projects, while maintaining strong client relationships and driving client satisfaction.

Successful candidates will have a proven track record of leading significant ground up development initiatives and managing large, complex projects within the real estate sectors.

Role with report to the Southeast Market Lead In the office 5 days/week (when not on project sites, at industry events, or participating in Business Development Activities).

Must be market facing and seen as a leader in the local market including participation on boards, associations, etc.

Create and foster relationships with other JLL service line relationships (Brokerage, Property Management, Capital Markets, Public Institutions and Accounts etc.) with the goal of growing the overall JLL PDS business. Coordinate PDS specific elements in concert with pursuits as well as ongoing client delivery with the above JLL business lines. Manage business and growth existing P&L's associated with development, corporate interiors and account support project management as well as incubate new businesses lines with the overall all expectation of double digit year over year growth.

Coach and develop future leaders within PDS.

Required Skillset

  • Financial: Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial analysis.

  • Technical: Knowledge of construction techniques, architectural principles, and industry-specific software.

Key Responsibilities

Sell Work and Drive Revenue
  • Develop and execute a growth strategy to deliver year-over-year revenue and profitability.
  • Expand sales channels by building relationships with brokers, contractors, architects, and other market influencers.
  • Partner with specialty practice leaders to broaden service offerings and create innovative solutions.
  • Originate new business directly with prospective clients and leverage relationships for add-on opportunities.

Recruit, Develop, and Retain Top Talent
  • Build and lead a high-performing team by recruiting professionals aligned with the company's culture and values.
  • Maintain a robust talent pipeline through continuous networking and recruitment.
  • Coach, mentor, and invest in the professional development of team members.
  • Implement development plans and succession strategies to foster growth and opportunity.

Scope and Deliver Quality Projects
  • Oversee the successful planning and delivery of major projects, demonstrating expertise with high-value, complex developments.

  • Ensure project delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Promote continuous learning and development within project teams to drive excellence and innovation.

Broker Sales Channel
  • Understand the vital role brokers play in PDS market leadership.
  • Anticipate and meet the needs of brokers as strategic partners.
  • Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with brokers.
  • Develop pricing strategies and value propositions that address broker expectations while ensuring profitability.
  • Leverage technology and campaigns to maximize broker engagement.


Legal & Financials
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to project and development services.
  • Deliver accurate, timely financial reporting and collaborate with accounting partners.
  • Analyze financial reports to extract business insights.
  • Define and monitor key financial success metrics for the organization.
  • Optimize expense management to drive profitability.


Data & Technology
  • Harness platforms and technology tools to improve operational efficiency.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends and emerging technologies.

Business Operations
  • Oversee all facets of business operations within the region or market.
