Description

Job Summary

Provide support to the AT Quality team by troubleshooting common and unique issues that slow or prevent inspection activities from completing on time. Work collaboratively with various stakeholders to drive issue resolution in an efficient manner while collecting information for process improvement to prevent similar issues from occurring.

Primary Job Responsibilities
• Provide dedicated "first response" to requests for support from Quality work centers
• Use effective judgment to determine the appropriate level of involvement of the various stakeholders necessary to resolve a broad range of issues
• Maintain issue resolution ownership and provide resolution of common issues, as appropriate through the use the company MES (Manufacturing Execution System)
• Advise and hand off issue resolution ownership of unique issues to Quality Management when appropriate
• Redline Quality planning documents
• Initiate/promote NCRs
• Participate in job Pre-Release Reviews
• Work with various stakeholders to identify key information gaps and ways to correct
• Represent AT Quality in a professional, respectful, creative and cooperative manner
• Promote and practice safety in all aspects
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly
• Abide by company policies
• In order to achieve business objectives, work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be required

Requirements
• AA or AS Degree in a Engineering Technological field, or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge of quality management systems (e.g. ISO9001, AS9100, NQA-1), problem solving methods, and basic quality tools (PDSA, fish-bone diagrams, check lists, RCA, etc.)
• Understanding of inspection disciplines (e.g. weld inspection, non-destruction examination, dimensional inspection)
• Deep understanding of process input and outputs; and work routings
• Ability to read and extract information from technical engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications
• Experience using enterprise/material resource planning systems (any ERP software system)
• Proficiency in Microsoft business products (Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook)
• Auditing background highly desirable
• ASQ Certification (e.g. CQI, CQT, CQA, CQE) highly desirable

Working Environment

While performing the duties of this job, work is performed primarily in an adequately lit, well ventilated, climate controlled general office environment. Close computer work is regularly required. The work usually involves minimal physical exertion. The noise level in the general office environment is usually moderate.

This job may require occasional or more frequent interaction with employees on the manufacturing shop floor. While on the shop floor, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risks of moving equipment and parts, and other risks associated with a manufacturing environment. Because of this environment and associated risks, coordination with shop floor managers/employees may be necessary before entering the shop floor, and use of job appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing is required on the shop floor. The noise level on the shop floor is often loud.
