Job SummaryProvide technical, operational, and project coordination support for the planning and execution of engineering production and construction activities. Monitor field operations, coordinate resources, oversee project implementation, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support the safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of production programs in a 24/7 operating environment.
Essential Functions- Monitor field operations and construction activities to ensure compliance with safety rules, operating procedures, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements, identifying and communicating opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate and oversee assigned production and construction projects, supporting the achievement of project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and operational objectives.
- Perform inspections, audits, and quality assurance/quality control activities to verify compliance with FRA regulations, engineering standards, and operational requirements.
- Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, track access, and stakeholder activities to support the efficient execution of production work and minimize impacts to railroad operations.
- Analyze field conditions, project progress, and operational requirements to develop recommendations and implement solutions that improve safety, efficiency, productivity, and asset performance.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
- Plus 6 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
- Plus 8 years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Effectively communicate with employees and customers at all organizational levels.
- Proficient in MS Office applications for various job functions.
- Demonstrated expertise in inspection, maintenance, and construction.
- Experienced in railroad operations, operating rules, and production work procedures.
- Knowledgeable about Federal Railroad Regulations.
The salary/hourly range is $103,700.00 - $134,460.00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Depending on an employee's assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee's base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
