Job Description:

Analytical Mechanics Associates, Inc., (AMA) seeking to hire a Wind Tunnel Model Design Engineer to join the wind tunnel model design group at NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) in Hampton, Virginia. The individual selected for this position will join AMA's team supporting the Research, Science and Engineering (RSES) contract. The wind tunnel design group utilizes PTC CREO 3D modeling software, so experience with CREO is a plus, but not a requirement.  The ideal candidate will have a desire to learn the specialty of wind tunnel model design, mechanical mechanism design, wind tunnel model stress analysis.


This is a Full-Time on-site position in Hampton, VA with local remote telework potential as designated by the customer needs. The salary will range from $71,420 to $102,081, commensurate with education and experience.


Education and Qualifications:

•    B.S. In Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

•    Ideal for early career individuals interested in working in the NASA environment and learning wind tunnel model design.


Desired (not required) Qualifications:

•    Experience with ProE/Creo software or similar 3D modeling software.

•    Experience with simple FEA modeling (CREO or other Finite Element Analysis software).
