The Role:The Strategy and Corporate Development group evaluates and executes on strategic transactions for Blue Owl Capital, generally taking the form of whole company acquisitions, strategic investments and partnerships. The successful candidate will possess intellectual curiosity and strong quantitative, project management, and written and verbal communication skills. You will help support our overall firmwide strategy, leveraging your analytical, problem solving, critical thinking, and creativity skills to support the team. You will also participate in the full lifecycle of transactional execution.
Responsibilities:- Support firmwide strategic initiatives, including asset management acquisitions, strategic investments, partnerships, and new business opportunities.
- Conduct extensive financial modeling, including valuation analysis and transaction structuring, to evaluate a wide range of business situations used for strategic decision making.
- Prepare valuation and other investment analysis supporting transaction activity
- Develop presentation materials to facilitate internal transaction approval, pipeline review and other governance processes.
- Collaborate with other business units on all aspects of transaction execution and develop relationships and knowledge of other parts of the organization including finance, treasury and legal
- Manage strategic projects, develop implementation plans, and transition projects into business execution as appropriate.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or related field
- 1-3years of experience in investment banking, private equity or GP stakes with knowledge of Alternative Asset Management industry
- Strong experience in financial modeling and valuation, with excellent command of the deal process management cycle.
- Demonstrated ability to build complex financial models, diligence summaries, snapshots, and other formats to support decision-making.
- Ability to analyze complex financial and strategic issues and effectively communicate findings to the management team in writing, presentations, and verbally.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, intellectual curiosity, and strong initiative
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Exhibit dedication to completing tasks thoroughly and on time, including under time pressures, and outside normal working hours
- Maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality
- Ability to view "big picture", understand broad corporate impacts, and focus on company objectives
It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $125,000 to 140,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
