  • Assist with the release of vehicle system software packages for commercial trucks.
  • Maintain and release documentation for changes in software calibrations and parameters.
  • Support translation of requirements into parameter rules logic for vehicle-specific calibrations.
  • Track and report on support activities leading to launch readiness.
  • Support launches at truck assembly plants and resolve identified field issues.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to ensure quality content delivery.

Full Job Description
The Global PACCAR Electronics (GPE) organization is seeking a Associate Software Release Engineer to manage embedded software releases for commercial vehicle systems. In this role, you will own the end-to-end coordination of software deliverables, ensuring seamless integration, validation, and launch readiness across PACCAR manufacturing plants and field applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to deliver high-quality software that meets production, regulatory, and customer requirements.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Assist with the release of vehicle system software packages and customer-configurable parameter solutions for commercial trucks.
  • Maintain and release drawings to document changes to vehicle system software calibrations and parameter characteristics.
  • Provide support with translating requirements into parameter rules logic to support vehicle-specific calibrations to meet the needs of product designs and customer needs.
  • Helps with tracking and reporting progress of support activities (sales tool updates, selection logic changes, programming tool releases, software test, and any required regulatory submissions) leading to launch readiness and overall release schedule.
  • Support launch at truck assembly plants as needed and resolve field issues as identified.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers as well as other professionals to ensure industry-leading quality of the content delivery is met/maintained/exceeded on all releases.

Additional Job Board Information

The salary range for the Associate Software Release Engineer is $100,100 - $156,600 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for a full range of benefit options listed above. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift.
