As an Associate / Senior Associate (Manager), you will work directly with clients to solve strategic business and real estate challenges, manage project workstreams, lead stakeholder engagement activities and contribute to the growth of the practice. The role combines meaningful CRE strategy experience with broader management consulting responsibilities, including strategy development, transformation, operational improvement, project delivery and client relationship management.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary EY teams and draw on a global real estate network to help corporate, public sector and institutional clients translate insight into practical, implementable outcomes.

This job posting relates to an existing vacancy within our organization.

Your key responsibilities:

Corporate real estate strategy and transformation
  • Manage or support engagements related to portfolio optimization, workplace transformation, facilities management, operating model design, service delivery strategy and broader real estate transformation.
  • Assess portfolios, occupancy and utilization data, service delivery structures, organizational capabilities and business requirements to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop strategic recommendations, future-state concepts, business cases and implementation roadmaps that align real estate decisions with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor and communicate trends shaping the future of CRE, including hybrid work, workplace experience, portfolio flexibility, AI-enabled workplaces, smart buildings, outsourcing models and evolving CRE technologies.
  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders through proactive communication, sound judgement and consistent delivery.
  • Plan and facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, working sessions and executive discussions.
  • Collaborate across EY service lines and disciplines to bring integrated perspectives and solutions to clients.
  • Manage project workstreams, including scope, workplans, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies and deliverables.
  • Support proposals, pursuits, account planning, thought leadership and market-development activities.

Skills and attributes for success, you are:
  • Strong understanding of corporate real estate, portfolio strategy, workplace strategy, facilities management or real estate operations.
  • Well-rounded consulting capabilities, including structured problem solving, stakeholder engagement, analysis and recommendation development.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain momentum.
  • Confident client-facing presence and the ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentation development and clear, persuasive storytelling.
  • Relationship-oriented approach, sound judgement and a genuine interest in client needs and long-term value.
  • Commercial mindset and interest in supporting business development and practice growth.
  • Curiosity about the future of work and CRE, with the drive to stay current on market, workforce, technology and service-delivery trends.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary and distributed teams.
  • Comfort working through ambiguity and adapting to changing priorities or deadlines.

To qualify for the role, you must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, architecture, urban planning, engineering, finance, economics, arts, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Approximately 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate real estate, consulting, facilities management, real estate advisory or a related field.
  • Practical experience in corporate real estate and exposure to portfolio optimization, workplace strategy, facilities management transformation, operating model design or another relevant CRE discipline.
  • Experience supporting strategy, transformation, optimization or operational improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated client-facing experience, including stakeholder engagement and development of presentations, reports or strategic recommendations.
  • Experience managing project workstreams and coordinating multiple stakeholders, priorities and deliverables.
  • Strong analytical, written communication and presentation-development skills.
  • The ability and willingness to travel within Canada based on client and project needs.

Ideally, you'll also have:
