The Associate Registrar for Operations position leads and supervises a team of six professionals in the Registrar's Office who support the academic mission of the university through managing, protecting, and authenticating student records. The team managed by the Associate Registrar for systems is charged with supporting the Registrar operations through systems access and development, document creation and management, curriculum maintenance, catalog production, and course scheduling, and reports to the University Registrar.

Associate Registrar for Operations:

What you will do:

  • Provide leadership in the Registrars office for Registrar operations
  • Lead the Registrar operations that are conducted through PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, student system development, testing, troubleshooting, and error resolution
  • Support the provision of security access to CU student data systems and applications
  • Manage theproduction services functions to support Registrar office operations
  • Ensure effective us of OnBase imaging, forms, and workflow
  • Oversee the registrar processes for uAchieve degree audit and transfer, Transferology and TES
  • Lead the catalog and curriculum management through the utilization ofLeepfrog CAT and CIM modules,
  • Manage the processes related to the Parchment transcript system software
  • Oversee the processes related to the Paradigm ordering system application
  • Lead the team and processes that utilize the EMS class scheduling software for class and
  • National Student Clearinghouse and National Student Loan Data System enrollment reporting, and related services that include, but are not limited to:
  • Research, policy development and compliance, problem solving, project management, business process design, and infrastructure decision-making.
  • Employee management, including hiring, onboarding, training, development, and performance management.
  • Other Duties as assigned


Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in management level positions, including supervisory experience.
  • Experience with systems and applications such as Campus Solutions, uAchieve, Leepfrog, OnBase, Parchment, Paradigm, and EMS.


Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, computer programming, information technology, information systems, student affairs, student personnel services, higher education, or related field of study
  • Experience at the Assistant Registrar level or above in a higher education Registrar's Office.
  • Experience in software development, configuration, and/or regression testing
  • Experience with National Student Clearinghouse and National Student Loan Data System enrollment reporting and reconciliation,
  • Experience establishing, reviewing, and communicating policy, and

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally, including successfully communicating technical details to non-technical colleagues.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

Conditions of Employment

  • Occasional work during the evening and/or weekends may be required.
  • This position follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.


Mental, Physical, and/or Environmental Requirements

  • The ability to sit for extended periods, stand and walk occasionally, reach with hands and arms, use hands to manipulate a keyboard and mouse, and have good near vision for computer work;often requiring minimal lifting, but may involve bending or reaching to retrieve items from shelves or drawers.
  • Moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $91,766 - $95,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck. The University of Colorado Denver provides generous leave, health plans and retirement contributions that add to your bottom line.
