Associate Project Manager role, you will work on a variety of solar and solar + storage projects throughout North America. You will be exposed to the entire project life cycle, work with the biggest developers and financiers in the space with cutting edge technology. The primary functions of these positions include supporting major customer accounts, supporting project due diligence, assisting in or managing projects, contributing to process improvements, sharing knowledge, obtaining and receiving feedback, and a bit of business development including developing proposals.
Our teams work across all scales of projects, and depending on your experience and interest, you would focus on residential, distributed generation, or utility scale systems.

This role is based at our DNV office in Toronto, presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend at least three (3)days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. Further details regarding role-specific requirements will be shared during the interview process.What You'll Do- Assist with the coordination of the technical review process among internal specialists including civil and electrical engineering, energy assessment, technology, and permitting teams, and synthesizing and writing due diligence reports
- Perform overall project management activities and ensure excellent customer communication
- Perform portions of due diligence reviews, including contract and financial model reviews, and synthesis of inputs from technical disciplines, as well as other reviews and analysis within your expertise
- Assist with the resolution of technical issues with project developers, lenders, and investors, including coordinating input on such issues from internal technical specialists
- Assist with developing and winning proposals for scopes of services related to due diligence work
- Coordinate or perform DNV construction monitoring and site visit activities
- Support the Project Management team and customers through the financial closings of projects
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts including leading tool development, process refinement, digitization efforts, and lessons learned activities

The actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. The range of starting pay for this role is $90,000 - $105,000.
QualificationsWhat is Required- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, business, energy, or other related field is required
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and deft project and time management skills, including an ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Fluent in MS Office
- Solution oriented thinking skills and high integrity
- Familiar with energy industry technology (modules, inverters, mounting systems/trackers, balance of system, etc)
- Supportive and proactive team member, eager to work in a collaborative environment
- HSE mindset and demonstrated behavior-based safety mentality
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills

What is Preferred- Minimum 1 years of experience in the renewable industry preference for solar or storage
- Master's degree
- Some concentration of experience in at least one of the following: solar industry construction and operating contracts, solar project construction, operations/asset management, solar project design/development, module/inverter technology, energy assessment, power marketing/offtake contracting, energy storage technology and implementation, market research/policy, or in the independent engineering function
- Exposure to contracts (construction, supply, operations, interconnection, offtake, subscription, and/or asset management contracts)
- Familiarity with budgets and financial models
- Working knowledge of PVsyst and solar energy assessment
- Project management designation or experience
- Familiarity with energy storage systems
