Job Title: Associate, Product Support EngineerJob Code: 44286Job Location: Canoga Park, CA Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off Job Description: We have an need for a skilled and motivated Associate Engineer in Product Support to join our Missile Solutions Systems Engineering team in Canoga Park, CA.
- Support maintainability, human factors, and operation/maintenance analyses for mechanical and rocket propulsion systems
- Contribute to concept development for rocket engines during early design phases
- Perform Field Engineering and Logistics tasks to ensure products meet customer needs
- Support spacecraft integration for advanced propulsion concepts, including CONOPS, functional flow, affordability assessments, and operational/cost estimates
- Provide Field Engineering and launch support for vehicles using liquid and solid propulsion systems
- Assist with Ground Support Equipment and large-scale facility integration for NASA and Department of War propulsion programs
- Conduct operational analysis and develop concepts of operations, system designs, and implementation plans
- Create and execute test plans, test procedures, and test cases; document results
- Use software tools and scripting for troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Support development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures
- Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external customers
- Travel up to 20% to L3Harris facilities, suppliers, and customer sites
- Requires ability to obtain Department of War security clearance; dual citizenship may restrict eligibility
Qualifications: - To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or related field or have completed their Bachelor's degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $71,000 - $132,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
