Full Job Description
About the Role

As an Associate Product Manager, you will own a defined product area and be responsible for delivering meaningful outcomes for customers and the business. You will partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Customer Success, Support, Sales, and other stakeholders to understand customer needs, shape product direction, and deliver high-quality software solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex customer and business problems, making thoughtful product decisions, and collaborating across teams to deliver meaningful outcomes. While you will receive guidance on broader product strategy, you will be expected to independently lead product discovery, prioritization, execution, and continuous improvement within your product area.

Success in this role is measured by the outcomes you create for customers and the business through strong product judgment, cross-functional collaboration, and reliable execution.

What You'll Do

Own Customer Problems

  • Develop a deep understanding of customers through research, observation, data, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Clearly define customer problems and identify opportunities to improve the product.
  • Validate assumptions and solutions through customer insights, experimentation, and data.

Product Strategy & Prioritization

  • Translate customer and business needs into prioritized product initiatives.
  • Evaluate solution options and make informed tradeoff decisions based on customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Define clear product requirements, success metrics, and launch criteria.

Deliver Results

  • Own initiatives from discovery through launch, measuring outcomes and continuously improving the product based on customer feedback and data.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Design to deliver high-quality software.

Collaborate & Communicate

  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships across Engineering, Design, Customer Success, Sales, Support, and Operations.
  • Communicate priorities, decisions, risks, and progress clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify dependencies, manage tradeoffs, and help teams stay aligned.

Take Ownership

  • Independently own a defined product area with increasing autonomy, balancing short-term customer needs with long-term product health.
  • Continuously improve your product management practices through feedback, learning, and data-driven decision making.

In Payments, Specifically

  • Own a defined area of the payments platform end to end, which may include settlement, reconciliation against dealer accounting systems, disputes, processor integrations, or payments reporting.
  • Own the economics of that area alongside the experience. Understand what we earn and what we pay, make your case in commercial terms, and quantify risk and exposure so the business can decide on it.

You do not need payments experience. You will need to learn a complicated domain fast, be precise about money, and think commercially by instinct.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in Product Management or a related role within SaaS or enterprise software. We will consider strong candidates from payment operations, implementation, solutions engineering, or business analysis where the work was substantively product work.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver customer and business outcomes through cross-functional product development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-informed product decisions.
  • Experience defining product requirements, prioritizing work, and measuring success through product metrics.
  • Experience conducting customer interviews, usability testing, or other product discovery activities.
  • Proficiency with modern product, design, and AI-assisted tools to accelerate product discovery, communication, and execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with evolving priorities.

Nice to Have Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with API platforms, developer experience, or integration frameworks.
  • Background in CX optimization, automation, or partner ecosystems.
