Description:Marsh is seeking candidates to join our
Healthcare Placement team focused on medical professional liability based in our
New York or
Chicago office locations. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
What can you expect:- Work in conjunction with Marsh's healthcare client team to develop and execute medical professional liability renewal strategy, select (re)insurers to approach, negotiate broad coverage terms, produce and present program recommendations and complete documentation of all placement activities.
- Foster relationships within your team, colleagues, clients, carriers to provide cohesive client service.
We will count on you to:- Consult management on complex client issues or trends through clear and concise communication and participate in development of solutions
- Ensure client renewal transactions are compliant with professional standards.
- Assist in special projects within team.
- Consult with client executives and client teams to support client retention and new business production such as active participation in RFPs and coverage reviews
- Coverage expertise to be able neg and drive optimal terms on behalf of our healthcare clients
- Thorough review of all quotes, binders, and policies to ensure accuracy of coverage placed
- Work towards:
- A solid knowledge of market risk issues, insurance brokerage, account management, servicing, and sales skills
- A detailed understanding of changing insurance and risk management market conditions
What you need to have: - College degree
- 3-6 years of insurance industry or relevant experience
- P&C licensed, OR ability to obtain within 3 months of employment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and the ability to learn proprietary applications/databases

The applicable base salary range for this role is $72,500 to $154,300.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
