Full Job Description
As a People Operations Associate, you will be hands-on in helping execute across many functional areas of HR such as culture & engagement, onboarding, employee experience, employee relations, compensation & benefits, performance management, compliance, and office management.

Reporting to the Director, People Operations, you will have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the HR team and help drive company performance and goals forward through a people-first approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help manage the payroll and benefits function, ensuring accurate and timely processing
  • Partner with internal teams at Willow Wealth (such as Finance and IT) and external vendors to optimize our processes
  • Participate in the rollout of our performance, promotion, and compensation review processes
  • Collaborate with recruiting on the hand-off from candidate to end-to-end onboarding experience
  • Partner with external counsel to follow appropriate HR practices in compliance with the law regarding hiring and terminating
  • Help develop, implement, and enforce policies that are compliant, practical, and aligned with the culture and environment we have created for our employees and to support the business
  • Engage with employees on employee relations matters, cultural initiatives, and day-to-day process development and improvement to provide a work environment conducive to success
  • Research, benchmark, and help maintain our compensation, benefits, and perks
  • Manage the physical office space, including handling building work orders, lunches, snacks, and related administrative work
  • Plan and support with team events, happy hours, holiday parties, etc.


Qualifications

  • True HR generalist experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of work experience in various areas of HR (recruiting experience a plus)
  • Working knowledge of People Operations functional areas including hiring, terminations, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and benefits (Rippling experience a strong plus)
  • Ability to support with and interest in managing the office and planning events
  • Must be flexible and metric / process-driven
  • The confidence to collaborate and challenge stakeholders for the right reasons when appropriate
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and always evolving startup environment
  • High emotional intelligence, and an ability to navigate and discuss challenging but important topics with tact
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-orientation

This is a New York-based role. The base salary range for this position is USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This role is eligible for equity compensation as part of the total compensation package.
