This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of reproductive medicine at one of the nation's premier academic health systems while leading a distinguished division recognized for clinical excellence, scientific innovation, and educational impact.

As UC San Diego continues to expand its clinical, research, and academic missions, the Division Director will play a pivotal role in advancing a nationally recognized program that spans reproductive endocrinology and infertility, in vitro fertilization, fertility preservation, reproductive surgery, oncofertility, polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, fibroids, and reproductive biology research.

UC San Diego offers an exceptional environment for academic leaders seeking to make a lasting impact. The Division Director will benefit from:
  • Leading a collaborative division that seamlessly integrates world-class clinical care, translational science, and cutting-edge reproductive biology research.

  • Guiding the continued expansion and innovation of the in vitro fertilization and fertility preservation programs.
  • Partnering with nationally recognized faculty across UC San Diego Health and the broader university community.
  • Leveraging unique connections within Southern California's thriving biotechnology and life sciences ecosystem.
  • Recruiting, mentoring, and developing the next generation of academic leaders and physician-scientists.
  • Advocating for strategic investments in faculty development, clinical growth, research infrastructure, and program expansion.

The Division Director will serve as a key clinical and administrative leader within the department, championing excellence across the tripartite mission of patient care, research, and education. Reporting directly to the Department Chair, the selected candidate will provide strategic vision, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and support the continued growth and national prominence of the division.

This highly visible leadership role offers the opportunity to influence the future direction of reproductive medicine while mentoring and teaching faculty, fellows, residents, medical students, and emerging physician-scientists. The Division Director will also maintain an active clinical practice, lead innovative research initiatives, and contribute to the educational mission of one of the nation's top academic medical centers.

We welcome candidates who are collaborative, forward-thinking leaders passionate about advancing reproductive health, cultivating academic excellence, and inspiring the next generation of clinicians and scientists. Candidates who value building consensus, strengthening interdisciplinary partnerships, and creating a culture that supports innovation, discovery, and outstanding patient care are encouraged to apply.
