Role summary:
The (USA) Associate Merchant supports category management by facilitating supplier negotiations, managing purchase orders, and resolving supplier-related issues to ensure accurate product setup for stores and online channels. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to execute customer communication programs, optimize product assortments, and support financial planning through sales analysis and forecasting. Utilizing data insights and business strategies, the Associate Merchant contributes to category performance and promotional activities while maintaining compliance with company policies and fostering strong vendor relationships to drive business results aligned with organizational goals.

The Seasonal Merchant Team is dedicated to delivering exceptional seasonal product assortments and experiences that help customers celebrate key moments. The team operates with agility, staying ahead of trends while collaborating across departments to provide outstanding value and trust. Focused on strong vendor relationships, data-driven decisions, and effective category strategies, the team supports seamless supplier management and customer engagement. By combining expertise in negotiation, business analysis, and e-commerce management, the team ensures timely execution of initiatives that enhance the shopping experience and drive business success throughout the seasonal calendar.
What you'll do:
  • Support merchants in supplier negotiations and manage purchase orders for assigned categories.
  • Assist in resolving supplier issues and facilitate new supplier setups for stores and online.
  • Own execution of customer communication and education programs in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of product page content, adhering to taxonomy and search guidelines.
  • Analyze category performance data to support budgeting, forecasting, and sales reporting.
  • Contribute to feature and promotional planning across stores and online channels.
  • Collaborate on modular assortment implementation and inventory management decisions.
  • Utilize data analysis tools to generate insights and support business solutions.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience in vendor relationship management and supplier negotiations within retail or e-commerce environments.
  • Strong skills in category strategy development, product assortment, and modular assortment execution.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and business analysis to support forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities to build partnerships and resolve supplier or category issues.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce management and item setup processes to ensure accurate product information and customer experience.
  • Ability to apply business strategies aligned with organizational goals and maintain compliance with company policies.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
