Job Description:
As Associate Media Director, you will lead strategic media planning that reaches enterprise business decision-makers on a national scale. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in strategy, creative, MKS and brand, you'll create holistic media strategies, build data-driven audience segments, conduct channel planning, make and defend media objectives, support performance recommendations, and drive innovation across a full-channel approach spanning video, display, audio, social, LinkedIn, and sponsored editorial.

Using data insights and continuous testing, you'll optimize toward KPI targets, mentor team members, and deliver innovative solutions that ensure campaign accuracy, efficiency, and measurable business impact.

You'll reach beyond traditional media placements to activate integrated solutions-from content creation to thought leadership partnerships to digital out-of-home-that stand out and create campaign impact at the top of the funnel.

The successful candidate is analytical, strategically minded, and thrives managing complexity across multiple media channels and distinct audience segments in a B2B enterprise environment.

You will:
• Lead the media planning efforts for national campaigns, focusing on awareness-driven strategies.
• Collaborate with planning leads, marketing science teams, and creative counterparts to establish clear media objectives and drive strategic alignment.
• Demonstrate initiative by exploring new media solutions, utilizing strategic thinking and creativity to develop innovative alternatives.
• Manage client relationships and day-to-day queries, providing strategic direction and guidance to media teams.
• Oversee media execution, ensuring timely delivery against key milestones.
• Develop and implement media strategies across partners ensuring optimal use of platforms.
• Manage and mentor the development of Associates and Supervisor teams, fostering their skills and supporting career growth.
• Lead the process of compiling and interpreting media research to inform media plan development and recommendations.
• Maintain strong working relationships with internal media planners, creative teams, and clients, acting as a key strategic media partner.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, exploring new opportunities and meeting with media/vendor representatives to inform strategic decisions.
• Oversee partner relationships, ensuring high levels of accuracy and alignment with client objectives.
• Manage budgets efficiently, ensuring compliance with the SOX process and effective investment oversight.
• Present media plans and performance insights internally and to clients, providing actionable recommendations.
• Contribute to the development of competitive analysis to deepen knowledge of the competitive landscape and inform media strategies.

You have:
• Your thumb on the pulse of the industry, with strong ideas and futureproofing solutions across media, AI and client products
• 6+ years' experience in media planning, focusing on cross-channel activation.
• At least 3 years of management experience.
• Proven ability to integrate media, creative, MKS and brand objectives, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing client relationships, ensuring alignment and timely execution of media plans.
• Hands-on campaign execution, using data and insights to optimize performance.
• Agency experience, particularly with integrated media campaigns.
• Proficiency in programmatic and social platforms planning and activation
• Proficiency in media planning tools (MRI, Omni, Kantar, Luci, MediaRadar, Pathmatics, etc.)
• Strategic partner mindset, offering insights and recommendations to optimize results.
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar media budgets, ensuring efficient allocation and ROI.
• Up to date with industry trends, fostering innovation through continuous learning.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
• Proven media buying and negotiation expertise.
• Clear understanding of the media planning, buying, and reporting process.

Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
