Job Description:

As part of L3Harris, ARDE is a world-leading provider of advanced pressure vessels for aerospace applications. Our products support human spaceflight, launch vehicles, satellites, and defense systems, contributing to some of the most exciting and challenging projects in the industry.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate in Mechanical Engineering to join our dynamic ARDE Engineering Team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and support of testing and production of pressure vessels for critical aerospace and defense applications. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including design engineers, drafters, and production staff, to deliver innovative and reliable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions:
  • Lead the design and structural analysis of pressure vessels, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Generate detailed engineering drawings and documentation, working in partnership with drafters and other engineering staff.
  • Perform advanced stress and fracture analyses using both analytical methods and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools.
  • Support and oversee testing activities, including pressurization, vibration, and rupture tests, to validate design integrity and performance.
  • Provide technical support during the manufacturing and production phases, troubleshooting issues and implementing design improvements as needed.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, design documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging lessons learned and best practices to enhance product quality and engineering processes.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, materials, and industry trends relevant to structural and pressure vessel engineering.

Qualifications:
  • To be eligable, candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree program in related field or have completed their Bachelor's degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the state of New Jersey is $68,000 - $126,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
