Work Schedule:
Onsite - Torrance, CA

Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking for an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to support our Manufacturing Engineering Group at our aerospace plant in Torrance, CA. Reporting to our Manufacturing Engineering Manager, and you will have a 9/80 schedule on-site work in Torrance, CA.

As an Associate Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
  • Support and develop CNC machining processes; support new and existing CNC machines.
  • Assure compatibility of engineering drawings and specifications with manufacturing and fabrication capabilities by reviewing drawing and making suggestions for changes and revisions to enhance producibility and prepare detailed manufacturing instructions and programming data under guidance from senior engineers.
  • Coordinate with various departments and team members to assure the most effective design and use of manufacturing facilities and processes.
  • Establish standard times for setup and run of each operation on assigned parts.
  • Assist in the conduct of studies directed towards more efficient manufacturing of parts. Includes making recommendations for new or changes in existing equipment, processes, materials and designs.
  • Solve shop floor problems associated with parts you are responsible for.
  • Support timely and efficient processing of parts through the shop by generating operation sheets and manufacturing procedures on assigned parts.
  • Spend time in the production shop solving problems and improving processes associated with the parts you are responsible for.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
  • Some hands-on experience in a Machine Shop such as programming, setting up, running, and troubleshooting CNC machines
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles

Salary Range Transparency:
Torrance, CA $80,000.00-$95,000.00 Annually
