How will you fit in the big picture?The Senior Analyst, Product Configuration & Costing helps ensure the accuracy, consistency, and transparency of manufacturing cost data across Hershey. In this role, you will analyze SAP Material Ledger actual costing results, uncover key trends and cost drivers, and turn complex data into actionable insights for Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT partners.
You will also support the technical loading and validation of manufacturing plant budgets in SAP, strengthen data quality and controls, and help improve the repeatable processes that power sound financial and operational decisions.
What will you do?Analyze monthly SAP Material Ledger Actual Costing results across the supply chain network and compare results with prior periods, budget, and plan.
Identify, explain, and document significant variances, trends, and cost drivers, and communicate insights clearly to finance and non-finance partners.
Partner with Accounting and Supply Chain Finance during period-end close, review, reconciliation, and inventory valuation activities.
Facilitate the technical loading of manufacturing plant budget data into SAP and validate alignment across plants, materials, and cost components.
Perform data-quality checks across SAP, planning tools, and financial expectations; investigate and resolve costing, quantity, and valuation inconsistencies.
Serve as a subject-matter resource for Material Ledger and Actual Costing processes, and support system enhancements, testing, controls, documentation, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Education & RequirementsExperience: 3-5 years of experience in product costing, supply chain finance, or manufacturing finance; hands-on SAP experience with Material Ledger, Actual Costing, and CO. Experience with SAP S/4HANA, manufacturing plant budgeting, advanced Excel, Alteryx, or Power BI is preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Skills: Advanced analytical and cost-accounting capabilities, strong attention to detail, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage recurring cycles and ad hoc analysis.
Preferred Environment: Experience in a manufacturing or consumer packaged goods environment.
