About the Role

As the Associate Manager of International Operations, you will own the end-to-end strategic relationship and operational execution for key client accounts. In this role, you will act as a primary partner to our clients through regular on-site visits, dedicated support, and data-driven reporting. Beyond relationship management, you will hold full P&L accountability for your team and will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of standard operating procedures. Your focus will be to ensure our international transportation solutions are continuously executed with maximum accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

What the Candidate Will Do

People Leader
  • Ensure the team achieves their goals and meets day to day operations' needs.
  • Supervise and hold team accountable for all key job functions and take ownership of employee development.
  • Review, analyze, and understand matters related to P&Ls, budget and forecast. Lead quarterly business reviews with the customer.

International Shipment Operations
  • Supervise and work along with a team that handles multi-modal international export & import shipments daily including aligning with relevant regulatory export and/or import compliance policies and accounting responsibilities.
  • Understand and guide document structures such as direct, house & master bill of lading as well as other commonly required shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, & certificate or origin.
  • Lead end-to-end process of new customer onboarding covering system usage, account management and other required solutions including creating customer organizations, setting up goals, triggers, and troubleshooting issues/problems during implementation period, and participating in user acceptance testing.
  • Follow the Sun Management of Offshore Locations

Customer Relationship- Establish and lead all facets of assigned customer account operations including:
  • Proactively identify, call out/communicate issues, propose, and implement solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Development, maintenance & implementation of Standard operating procedure (SOP & IOP).
  • Responsible for clear and professional communication of operation tasks including issues/customer concerns, compliance risks or challenges meeting internal or external service expectations. Partner and follow up on customer specific critical initiatives.
  • Actively market and communicate Uber Freight International services to gain additional customer lanes, modes, and customer referrals for new business opportunities.

Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years related experience
  • Travel 25%

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or 5 years related experience in transportation
  • 2 years of management experience with international ocean or air transportation.
  • Prior experience working in an international Transportation Management System, especially CargoWise
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
  • Knowledge of international transportation modes
  • Basic knowledge Haz mat or International specialized services
  • Intermediate knowledge of U.S. import and export regulations and documentation
