Position OverviewObra Capital is seeking an Associate, HRBP to serve as a dedicated HR business partner to our Analyst through VP employee population in New York. The ideal candidate is client-service oriented, thrives in a collaborative team environment, and brings strong business partner experience across employee relations, performance management, and talent development. This person will play a key role in talent programs including our internship initiatives, and will partner closely with the Head of Human Resources to support the broader people strategy at a fast-growing asset management firm.
Responsibilities- Serve as HR Business Partner for the Analyst to VP employee population; build trusted relationships, understand development goals, and address employee pain points.
- Manage new hire orientations, new hire check-ins, and exit interviews for assigned levels.
- Assist in the performance management process, including feedback cycles and check-ins.
- Support a range of HR generalist functions including immigration, employee relations, and learning and development.
- Assist in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives.
- Partner with internal teams to respond to DDQ/ODD requests related to HR.
- Serve as HR lead for summer and other internship programs.
- Provide recruiting backup support as needed.
- Provide onsite HR support for acquisitions and integration activities.
Qualifications- 4-6 years of HR experience; HR Business Partner experience preferred.
- Exposure to campus and internship recruiting.
- Highly client-service oriented with strong relationship-building skills.
- Collaborative, team-first approach with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Experience working with ATS and HRIS systems.
- Proficiency in Excel including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
- Strong PowerPoint skills; ability to summarize and present HR information clearly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
Compensation:
The expected base salary range for this role is outlined below. In addition to the base salary, total compensation may include a discretionary bonus based on performance. This range given is a best faith estimate which reflects a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, education, location and other qualifications pertinent to the position. Base salary does not include any other performance based compensation such as year end cash bonus.
$120,000-$150,000
