Position Summary

The Equipment Engineer Associate Manager oversees equipment installation, optimization, and reliability across battery manufacturing lines. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, guiding engineers and technicians while collaborating cross-functionally in a bilingual environment. The ideal candidate excels in troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and driving up time and performance in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor equipment engineers and technicians; set priorities and allocate resources.
  • Support team development through training, coaching, and performance guidance.
  • Oversee installation, commissioning, and validation of key production equipment.
  • Review technical documentation and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues.
  • Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime.
  • Lead RCA for major equipment failures and drive corrective actions.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting support for automation, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Drive automation upgrades and equipment optimization projects to improve throughput, yield, and efficiency.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and process-improvement methodologies to reduce waste and enhance reliability.
  • Act as primary technical liaison for vendors and internal teams.
  • Partner with process, quality, and production teams to ensure equipment meets operational goals.
  • Ensure all equipment complies with safety, quality, and regulatory standards (ISO9001, IATF16949).
  • Lead risk assessments and enforce safe operating practices.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $112,000.00 - 130,000.00 + 15% bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
